Hearing
the Word, the pulsation (atma-sphurana) in
the Hrdayam (Ik Tar) continued. There remained
a constant sense of single hearing, inner
enquiry / remembrance / reflection, and Self
abiding. |
 |
| All
the religions have these starting points of
"hearing." Hearing, remembering, abiding are
Christ's terms, sravana, manana and niddiyasana
(Vedanta terms), sunia, mania, mamu kita bhau
(Sikh terms, Mahamudra (Buddhist term). |
 |
| With
the awakening of the True Hearer, there arises
the impalpable pulsing reflection of the True
Hearer in the pure mind of its source "I as
I." With rememberance the sense of "I" becomes
single and pervasive dissolving all previous
ideas of a self-identity to the body, thoughts
and images. Like one coming out of a stupor
or amnesia, recollecting their True self,
all states of consciousness are discarded.
Abiding purely as That source results in the
incomparable experience of non-dual single
pervasive Being. In Perfect abiding there
is a disengagement of attention altogether,
like the lifting of a needle from a record,
while in the perifery of the horizon there
remains a radical force of discarding / dissolving
of every thought and impression, a process
that releases streams of pure energy consciousness,
transforming the body and mind into pervasive
Light of the Self ("I AM THAT I AM"). Ego
remains in the same manner that the full moon
seen in the blue sky of the risen sun, having
no use for seeing or knowing. Consciousness
is the awareness of Being, felt in each of
us as "I" - that which denotes the sense of
realness and existence to everything we see. |
 |
| Consciousness
is the eternal flame, awareness of Being is
the all consuming heat. When the pure mind
reflects the Self in the Heart, the idea of
a separate consciouness is entirely dissolved. |

the
stream of consciousness and realize /
"hear" this experience for yourself.
